Club poker is as safe as the people your money passes through. The app never holds your balance and never refunds it: your deposit goes to an agent, sits as chips in a club, and comes back through the same agent. That is why withdrawals can take minutes, and why the thing to check before you deposit is who those people are and who stands above them.
Where your money actually sits
PPPoker, Suprema Poker, ClubGG, X-Poker and Poker21+ are software. They sell chips to clubs and take a share of rake; they do not hold player balances. When you deposit, you pay your agent, and the agent loads chips to your account inside a club. When you withdraw, the agent takes the chips back and pays you. Your rakeback travels the same way, on a weekly cycle.
Above the club there is usually a union: a group of clubs sharing one lobby. The union settles with each club on a fixed day, runs the tournaments, covers the guarantees and screens the field for bots and collusion. A club inside a union has somebody above the owner who does not care which player wins. A standalone club has only the owner.
Is the app rigged?
Nobody in this chain has a reason to rig the deck. The app is paid per hand, the union and the club are paid a share of rake, and all of them earn the same whether you win or lose. Club tables are often short-handed and fast, so you see more hands, and more bad beats, per hour than at a casino table. That feels like a pattern and is a sample size. The real risk is not the shuffle. It is the money path described above.
How withdrawals work
You ask your agent, the agent takes the chips back and pays you in the method you agreed when you deposited. In our clubs that takes minutes, because a person handles it rather than a payment queue. The cost of that speed is that somebody has to answer at the hours you play, which is why our support runs around the clock in Telegram.
How rakeback is paid
Rakeback is a share of the rake you paid, returned to you. On this site it is always written as a ceiling, up to 60 percent, because the exact figure is set against your volume and limits. If you paid 100 dollars of rake in a week on a 40 percent deal, 40 dollars comes back on the weekly cycle through your agent. Ask in advance what the percentage is calculated on and which day it is paid.
What to check before the first deposit
- Which union the club is in. If there is none, ask why.
- Who your agent is, and whether they answer at the hours you play.
- Your rakeback figure and the day it is paid, in writing.
- Whether anyone you know has withdrawn a real amount from this club.
- That the tables at your limits are running at your hours. You can join a club and look at the lobby before you deposit.
When something goes wrong
The agent does not pay. Write to the club, then to the union above it, with the date of your request and a screenshot of your balance. In a union with a fixed settlement day there is a place to take this. In a standalone club there is nobody above the owner, which is the reason to check the union first.
The club accuses you of using software. A real bot or RTA case is reviewed at union level, from hand histories, and the account is frozen across the app while it happens. A screenshot forwarded by the club owner is not that. Ask for the hand IDs and the name of the union, and ask for your balance out in writing.
You want to move to another club. Balances do not move between clubs. You withdraw through your agent and deposit in the new club. Inside our network, message @rpunion with the club you want and we handle both steps.
Is it legal where I live?
That depends on your country, and we do not give legal advice. The apps are in app stores in many countries, but whether playing for money is allowed where you live is yours to check before you deposit.
Frequently asked questions
Is club poker safe?
As safe as the agent, club and union your money passes through. The app does not hold balances or refund them. Check the union, the agent and the payout day before your first deposit.
Are poker club apps rigged?
There is no reason for them to be. The app is paid per hand and the union and club are paid a share of rake, so nobody in the chain earns more when a particular player loses. The risk in club poker is the money path, not the shuffle.
How long does a withdrawal take in a poker club?
It depends on the agent, because the agent pays you, not the app. In our clubs it takes minutes.
Can a poker club ban me for winning?
A standalone club can remove anyone, because nobody above the owner reviews the decision. In our unions a removal for software or collusion goes through a union-level review of hand histories, and winning on its own is not a reason.
What happens to my balance if a club closes?
The app does not refund it. In a union, the club's balance is settled with the union on the fixed day, so there is a party that knows what the club owes. That is the main reason to play in a club inside a union.
Pick a club from our club list, where every card shows the union behind it, or message @rpunion with the games and limits you play. Club owners checking a union rather than a club will find the owner's version of these checks in how to vet a poker union.
