PPPoker is not in the Google Play store and the iOS version comes and goes, so most people arrive here after the obvious route failed. The install itself is short. What catches people out is the screen they see afterwards.
The app opens on an empty lobby. No tables, no games, nothing to join. That is not a bug and it is not a regional block. PPPoker has no public games at all, and until a club approves you there is nothing in the app to play.
So the useful version of this guide covers both halves: getting the client running, and getting into a game once it is.
Android
Go to pppoker.net and take the Android download. You get an APK file rather than a store install, so your phone will warn you that it comes from an unknown source and ask you to allow it. That prompt is normal for any app distributed outside the store.
Allow installation for your browser, open the downloaded file, confirm, and the app appears on your home screen. It updates itself from inside the client after that, so you only do this once.
If the install fails silently, the usual cause is storage. The APK needs room to unpack, and phones that are nearly full will stop without a clear message.
iPhone and iPad
The iOS route changes more often than the Android one. Sometimes the app is in the App Store for your region, sometimes it is distributed through a configuration profile from pppoker.net instead.
Check the App Store first. If it is not there, follow the iOS link on the official site, which will walk you through installing the profile and trusting the developer certificate in your device settings. Both steps are on-screen and take under a minute.
One warning worth having in advance: certificate-based installs occasionally stop working when Apple revokes a certificate, and the fix is to reinstall from the site. Your account and balance are not affected, since neither lives on the phone.
Windows and Mac
There is no native desktop client. PPPoker is a mobile app, and the desktop route runs it through an Android emulator.
Install an emulator such as BlueStacks or LDPlayer, open it, and install the PPPoker APK inside it exactly as you would on a phone. The emulator gives you a bigger screen, a mouse, and a keyboard for entering club IDs, which is the main reason people bother.
Two things to know before you commit to this. Emulators are heavy on memory, so an older laptop will struggle once you open more than one table. And the layout is still the phone layout, stretched, so it is more comfortable than a phone but not comparable to a desktop poker client.
The step that actually matters
Once installed, create an account with a phone number or email. Then the app asks for a club ID, and that is where most guides stop being useful.
Club IDs are not browsable. There is no directory, no search that returns anything you would want to join, and typing random numbers gets you nowhere. Clubs recruit through agents and communities, which is deliberate, because it keeps the app from filling with people looking for a quick game.
You get an ID from a club or its union, send a join request, and someone approves it. Your agent then handles the deposit and explains the settlement schedule. Nothing should require you to send money before your terms are in writing.
The thing to ask before you join is not the club name. It is the union behind it. Your opponents come from the union rather than the club, so the union decides your field, your rake and whether you get paid. We wrote up how that structure works in clubs and unions on PPPoker.
Common install problems
The app installs but shows no games. You are not in a club yet. This is the single most common message support gets, and the answer is always the same.
The APK will not open on Android. Installation from unknown sources is still blocked for your browser, or storage ran out. Check both.
The iOS app stopped launching after working fine. The certificate was revoked. Reinstall from pppoker.net; your account is untouched.
Tables are unplayably slow in an emulator. Give the emulator more RAM in its settings, or drop to fewer tables. Emulated Android is not efficient and no setting fixes that entirely.
What this looks like in our clubs
We run clubs on PPPoker under two unions, Double Ruble and Ямал, and the install is never the part people need help with. The questions that actually arrive are about which club to pick and why the tables looked empty at 3am on a Tuesday.
Field size varies by hour far more than most players expect, and it varies by union rather than by app. A club in a large union has games running when a club in a small one does not, on the same platform, at the same moment. Ask your agent when your format runs before you judge the app on one quiet session.
