What Are PPPoker Clubs and How to Join

A PPPoker club decides which tables you see. The union behind that club decides your opponents, your rake and whether your money comes back. Most players only look at the first one.

PPPoker has no open lobby. You cannot download the app, deposit and sit down — there is nothing to sit down at until you are a member of a club. That single design choice explains most of what is confusing about the app, and most of what goes wrong for players who join the wrong one.

A club is a private room run by an operator. It sets its own limits, chip value and rules, and it seats its members at its own tables. That much is visible from inside the app.

What is not visible, and what actually decides your experience, is the union the club belongs to.

Club, union, agent: three different things

These get used interchangeably and they are not the same, which is why players end up disappointed by clubs that looked fine.

The club is the room you join. It gives you access to tables and a member ID.

The union is the alliance of clubs that share traffic with each other. This is the important one. Your opponents come from the union, not from the club, so a small club inside a large union has full tables and a large club inside a weak union does not. The union also sets the rake structure, the limit spread, the security policy and the settlement rules between clubs.

The agent is the person who handles your money — deposits, withdrawals and rakeback. The app itself does not process your cash; the agent does. A reliable agent is worth more than a percentage point of rakeback from an unreliable one, because the percentage only matters if it arrives.

Two clubs on the same app, in different unions, are effectively different games with different economics. Ask which union a club belongs to before anything else.

What to check before you join

Six things, in roughly this order of importance.

  • The union, by name. If nobody will tell you which union the club sits in, that is the answer. Walk away.
  • Field size at the hours you actually play. A union can look busy at 9pm and be empty when you sit down. Ask what runs at your hours, in your format.
  • Chip value. A chip is not a fixed unit. Confirm what one chip is worth in real money before you deposit anything, and confirm it in writing.
  • The rake, not just the rakeback. A high rakeback percentage on a high rake can be worse than a lower percentage on a normal one. Ask for both numbers.
  • How withdrawals work and how long they take. Ask for the actual typical time, not the best case.
  • Whether there is an exit lock. Some clubs make leaving difficult. Find out before, not after.

The general rule: anything a club will not put in writing before you deposit is something you should assume will go against you later.

The field: why PPPoker fills up when other apps do not

PPPoker is the most widely used club app in the world, and that scale is the reason to play there. The pool skews toward Asia, Russia and the CIS, and it plays loose and passive at low and mid limits — a lot of preflop calling, a lot of chasing, very little bluffing on the river.

Strategically that pushes you toward a straightforward approach: value bet more, bluff less, and 3-bet linear rather than polarised, because a pool that calls too much punishes bluff-heavy ranges. Multiway pots are common, so hands that play well against several opponents gain value over hands that want to be heads-up.

Games run around the clock, which is the practical advantage over smaller apps: you can find a table at hours when a niche app is dead. The main formats are no-limit hold'em and Pot-Limit Omaha, with OFC and tournaments running alongside.

How to actually join

The process is short. Install PPPoker, create an account, and you will be asked for a club ID. You get that ID from the club — clubs are not browsable in any meaningful way, and searching random IDs is not how anyone finds a good one.

Send the join request, and the club approves it. Your agent then sets up your deposit and explains the settlement schedule. Nothing should require you to send money before you have your terms.

The one step players skip: confirm your rakeback arrangement in writing before the first deposit, not after the first session. It is a normal thing to ask for and a bad sign if it is refused.

What this looks like in our clubs

We have run poker clubs since 2019, and on PPPoker we hold two unions — Double Ruble and Ямал — across a network of more than twenty clubs.

Holding a union position is a different business from referring players to somebody else's club. An affiliate sends you to an app and collects a fee; whatever happens to you afterwards is not their problem. We carry the balance, negotiate the rake split and answer when a settlement is late, which is a different kind of exposure and, for a player, a different kind of guarantee.

It also changes what we can do about the field. A union can remove a bot ring or a colluding pair in a day. A club with no leverage inside its union can only report the problem and wait.

Player rakeback in our clubs runs up to 60%, depending on the club, your agent and your volume. We do not publish a single number for everyone because it would be untrue for most of them — ask for the figure that applies to the limits you actually play.

Frequently asked questions

Can I play on PPPoker without joining a club?

No. The app has no public lobby — all games run inside clubs, and you need a club ID to see any tables at all. Play money is available without a club, but it shares nothing with the real games.

How do I find a PPPoker club ID?

From the club or its union directly. There is no useful in-app directory, which is deliberate: clubs recruit through agents and communities rather than through search. Treat an ID posted publicly with no union named behind it as a risk.

What is the difference between a club and a union?

The club is the room you join; the union is the group of clubs sharing traffic. Your opponents, your rake and your settlement terms come from the union. This is why the union name is the first thing to ask about and the club name is close to irrelevant.

Is PPPoker safe to play?

The app is stable and widely used; the variable is who you play under. Your money sits with your agent, not with the app, so the entire question of safety comes down to the union and the agent behind your club. Check both, and get the terms in writing.

How much does it cost to join a club?

Joining a legitimate club costs nothing. You should have your club, your agent and your terms before you deposit anything at all. A club charging an entry fee to play is a reason to look elsewhere.

Can I open my own club on PPPoker?

Yes, and it is a common route for agents with an existing player base. The hard part is not creating the club, it is getting into a union with enough traffic to fill your tables. Terms for club owners are on our page for clubs and agents.

Where to start

Decide the format and limits you want to play, then ask about the union before the club. If the answer is vague, that is information.

To see the terms for our PPPoker clubs, message @rpunion and say what you play and roughly what volume. If you are still comparing platforms, the other club apps we run have quite different fields, and one of them may suit your game better.

18+. Play within your means.
