▶️ At the beginning of a session meditation  helps us mentally get down to the work process. It helps to switch from our everyday routine tasks and internal dialogue to a working mood so that we can be as concentrated and involved in the process as possible from the very first hands.

◀️ At the end of the session, meditation is needed to get out of the game process, complete it and calm your mind in this way. Sometimes you can replace physical training with meditation in order to remove tension from the body.

⏸ Meditating during five-minute breaks also sometimes makes sense to switch states. When a player feels like he's starting to tilt, meditation can bring emotional balance back.

⚓️ During meditation, we anchor our attention - we choose some object (image, bodily sensation, sound, taste, anything) on ​​which we focus and feel it purposefully and consciously. Most often, anchoring on one's own breath is used. Good practices with a pleasant voice and music can be found somewhere on YouTube. 3-5 minutes of practice is enough to achieve the above goals.

⏰ Long meditations for 20-30 minutes or more are already a training process to improve concentration skills. We need them in order to track how our mind works, how the focus of attention changes, how thoughts  and some kind of responses in the body appear.

❌ The mistake of many beginners is to think that if there is no emptiness and silence during your meditation, then it does not suit you. This is wrong. Thoughts during meditation are normal. The nature of our mind is to constantly think. The main thing in meditation is to train the skill of returning oneself to the state of “here and now”. So if you feel like you're not succeeding, actually you're succeeding, just keep going.
