Club apps run on a hierarchy: player, agent, super agent, manager, club owner. The agent is the layer most people can actually enter, and it is the one that gets described worst.
An agent brings players into a club and earns a share of the rake those players generate. That is the whole model. What follows is what the role involves in practice, including the parts that make people stop doing it.
What an agent actually does
Three jobs, and only the first one sounds like the pitch.
You bring players in. They register into the club with your agent ID attached, which is what links their rake to you.
You handle their money. Chips in, withdrawals out, usually through you rather than through an operator cashier. This is the part people underestimate: it is the reason club app withdrawals take minutes instead of days, and it means being reachable when your players are playing.
You answer questions. Which tables suit them, why a hand was resolved a certain way, what happens when someone suspects a problem at a table. You are the support layer for the people you brought in.
An agent who does only the first job has players who leave. The rake share is paid for the second and third.
What you earn
You receive a percentage of the rake generated by your players, settled weekly. You also keep playing yourself and receive rakeback on your own play, so the two run in parallel.
The percentage is negotiated. It depends on the union, on how much rake your players actually generate, and on what share you pass back to them, because the deal you offer your own players comes out of yours. An agent who keeps everything has no players, and an agent who gives everything away has no income. Finding that line is most of the skill.
We do not publish a single agent number, for the same reason we do not publish a single player number: it would be a marketing figure rather than the terms you would actually get. Ask, and you will get a number attached to conditions.
The part that decides whether it works
Agents fail on volume, not on percentage.
The arithmetic is unforgiving. A share of the rake from three friends who play twice a month is not income, and no percentage fixes that. The role works for people who already sit inside a community that plays: a live game that meets regularly, a group chat that talks poker daily, a following that exists before you start.
If you are starting from nobody, be honest with yourself about the timeline. Building a player base from zero takes months of being useful to people before any of them plays a hand under your ID.
The second failure is churn. Players leave when withdrawals are slow, when questions go unanswered, or when they lose money in a game they were never suited to. All three are inside your control, which is the uncomfortable part.
How to start
Message a manager and say you want to come in as an agent. You will install the app, register, and agree terms before anything else happens.
You get an account with the agent functions enabled: statistics on the players attached to you, their accumulated rake, and the tools to distribute what you owe them. That reporting is what lets you run the deal you offered rather than guessing at it.
Decide two things before you sign anything. Which union you want to work in, because that decides the games your players will have, and what you will pass back to them, because changing it later is harder than setting it correctly at the start. The union roster is on our unions page.

Agent or club owner
These are different jobs and people confuse them constantly.
An agent works inside somebody's club, brings players and takes a share of their rake. Low setup, no fixed costs, income scales with the players you actually bring.
A club owner runs the room itself: the member list, the limits, the promos, and the relationship with the union. Higher commitment, better economics at scale, and more that can go wrong. Terms across every platform we run are on the page for clubs and agents.
Most people should start as an agent. If your player base grows past what one person can service, a club becomes the sensible next step, and moving up is a conversation rather than a rebuild.
